PTK Strengthens Marine Service Reliability at RU IV Cilacap to Support the Smooth Flow of the National Energy Supply Chain

PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining reliable marine logistics services through active participation in a series of working visits by the Board of Directors of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) to the RU IV Cilacap Refinery, Central Java, on Monday (26 January 2026). The activities—which included a Town Hall Meeting, a site visit to Jetty Area 70 (CIB-1), and operational coordination—served as a strategic momentum to strengthen synergy between refinery operators and marine transportation service providers in ensuring the smooth distribution of national energy.

For PTK, the visit was not merely ceremonial, but a tangible effort to enhance the reliability of business services at a critical point in the supply chain: the berthing and loading–unloading area. Jetty Area 70, as one of the main hubs for crude oil and fuel product distribution, plays a vital role in safeguarding supply continuity. Fleet readiness, berthing facilities, and the implementation of safety standards are key factors to ensure that energy transfer from sea to refinery is carried out safely, on time, and sustainably.

President Director of PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental, I Ketut Laba, emphasized that reliable marine services are the cornerstone of maintaining the continuity of the national energy supply. “PTK plays a direct role as the backbone of maritime transportation within the Pertamina Group. Through fleet readiness, the implementation of marine assurance, and internationally recognized HSSE standards, we ensure that every barrel of energy moves safely and on time from sea to refinery, and ultimately reaches the public,” said I Ketut Laba.

He added that strengthened coordination with KPI and PIS through this activity also provides confidence to stakeholders, including clients and prospective clients, that PTK is capable of delivering reliable marine logistics services amid operational complexity and maritime environmental challenges. “Reliability is not measured solely by vessel availability, but also by the integration of safety systems, personnel preparedness, and compliance with global standards. This is the added value we offer to all business partners,” he noted.

From an operational standpoint, PTK ensured comprehensive readiness through inspections of jetty facilities, provision of personal protective equipment and life-saving appliances, HSSE supervision, and the arrangement of safe routes in the berthing area. These measures reflect a commitment to the principles of zero accidents and zero downtime, while reinforcing user confidence that PTK’s services can support refinery operations running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The impact of strengthened reliability is felt not only within the Pertamina Group, but also by the wider community as the ultimate beneficiary of a secure energy supply. With a reliable maritime transportation system, the risk of distribution disruptions can be minimized, thereby maintaining the stability of fuel and energy supplies. For the business community—particularly partners and prospective clients—this serves as clear evidence that PTK is a strategic partner capable of supporting business continuity through safe, efficient, and internationally standardized maritime services.

Through close synergy with KPI and PIS, PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental continues to reinforce its role as the backbone of reliable maritime transportation within the Pertamina Group. Supported by an operationally ready fleet, robust safety systems, and a strong commitment to service excellence, PTK ensures that the national energy supply chain runs uninterrupted—connecting the sea, refineries, and communities in a single, reliable, and sustainable system.
