In line with the business activities that support national oil and gas distribution, PTK also has a full commitment that the company's operational activities must have positive impacts and broad benefits for the community, especially the communities living around the operation area to be more prosperous and independent. To create a community around the operating area that is prosperous and independent, as well as a sustainable environment is part of the company's social and environmental responsibility and is the fulfillment of the company's obligation to be a good corporate citizen.
The company's concern for Corporate Social Responsibility is based on three basic principles known as the Triple Bottom Line, including Profit, People, and Planet. The three of them must run synergistically and sustainably, namely: Profit, an economic profit-oriented company; People, companies must have concern for human welfare; and Planet, companies are required to care about a sustainable environment.
The company's Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) should be aligned with the government's development plan, which refers to the sustainable development goals (SDGs), as well as the Holding and Subholding TJSL plans.
In 2022, the PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental TJSL Program consists of 3 Pillars, namely:
The first is the Community sector, with programs that provide assistance to victims of natural disasters, assistance to orphans and Orphan Foundations / Orphanages in PTK work areas, Qurban (islamic livestock sacrifice) assistance in the work area of the Central PTK office, and assistance for other community social activities.
The second is the field of Education, with programs that provide assistance in educational facilities and infrastructure to support teaching and learning activities during the pandemic, supporting government programs during the Distance Learning (PJJ) period, including the existence of the PTK Mengajar program in the form of online learning. Furthermore, the scholarship program for students in coastal areas, this year with locations in Semarang and Sorong.
The third is the Health Sector, with programs that support government programs in improving the health of mothers and children, as well as the elderly, located in Tanggamus, increasing the capacity (skills) of posyandu cadres in an effort to improve health services, located in Tanggamus, counseling on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior Health (PHBS), also located in Tanggamus, and Blood Donation, located in Jakarta.
The first is the Infrastructure Sector with programs, namely the provision of assistance for the construction / renovation of worship buildings in the PTK work area, and assistance in the construction / renovation of schools / public facilities in the PTK work area.
The second is the Empowerment Sector, with programs that encourage the creation of entrepreneurs who are able to compete and be independent in an effort to improve the family economy and increase the productivity of business groups based on local potential. The concrete programs include The Empowerment of Coastal Women in Batam, Surabaya, and Balikpapan, Increasing Knowledge and Development of Rampus Net Cage Cultivation in Tanggamus, Increasing Knowledge and Expertise of Farmers in Tanggamus, Breeding livestock and their management, also in Tanggamus, Lampung.
In the Environmental Sector, the programs carried out are to assist the government in preventing pollution and environmental damage by waste or garbage management, as well as supporting the government program Climate Village and Food Security. The concrete programs are waste/garbage banks in Medan and Jambi, planting 1000 (one thousand) mangroves in Makassar, the sea/beaches cleaning in Semarang, and assistance for other environmental activities.

In 2021, PTK also won an award from the BUMN Track Media in the 2021 TJSL & CSR Award for the Economic Pillar and the Environmental Pillar.
