PTK Builds Fast and Measurable Emergency Response, Strengthens Maritime HSE Standards through National OHS Month 2026 in Cilacap

Cilacap — PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), through its Marine Business & Operation Region II, continues to strengthen its operational safety foundation by organizing the National Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Month 2026, held on February 12, 2026, at the Cilacap Branch Office. The program represents a strategic initiative to develop fast and measurable emergency response capabilities while enhancing occupational health and safety (OHS) standards in the high-risk maritime energy sector.
National OHS Month 2026 was designed to reinforce a safety system based on competency and preparedness. The activities included fire suppression drills, building evacuation simulations, training on the proper use of Fire Extinguishers (APAR), occupational health seminars, and first aid training (P3K). Through a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on practice, PTK ensures that every employee understands emergency procedures, is capable of properly using safety equipment, and can respond promptly with appropriate initial actions during incidents.
The program involved all employees, outsourced personnel (TAD), KKR crews, as well as functions across HSSE, Commercial & Operation, Finance & Business Support, Agency, Fleet, and Marine Operation. Collaboration with the Cilacap Fire Department and Pertamina Cilacap Hospital enhanced the quality of the training, ensuring that the materials delivered were not only compliant with regulations but also relevant to real operational conditions. This cross-functional synergy plays a key role in building a consistent and practical OHS culture across all operational lines.
PTK President Director, I Ketut Laba, emphasized that workplace safety is a fundamental pillar of corporate sustainability. “Fast and measurable emergency response can only be achieved when every individual within the company possesses strong competence and awareness of safety culture. Through National OHS Month 2026, we ensure continuous improvement of safety standards to protect our people, safeguard assets, and maintain smooth operational performance,” he stated.
For customers and stakeholders, strengthening OHS standards directly contributes to improving the reliability of PTK’s maritime services. A more disciplined and structured safety system helps minimize operational disruptions while ensuring the continuity of national energy distribution. Through this initiative, PTK reaffirms its commitment to delivering safe, professional, and sustainable maritime services for Indonesia.
