Pertamina Trans Kontinental Deploys 415 Vessel Fleet to Safeguard Energy Distribution During Ramadan–Eid 2026

Jakarta — Ahead of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H period, PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) has confirmed the full readiness of its marine services to support the smooth distribution of national energy supplies by deploying 415 supporting vessels. The fleet, dominated by Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels, tugboats, and small craft, has been prepared to support shipping activities, energy port operations, and tanker escort services transporting various strategic energy products across Indonesia during the 2026 Ramadan and Eid Task Force (Satgas RAFI) period. This readiness forms an essential part of efforts to maintain the stability of the national energy supply amid increased public mobility, transportation activities, and rising energy demand during Ramadan through the Eid homecoming period.
Within Indonesia’s national energy distribution system, which relies heavily on maritime routes, maritime services play a vital role in ensuring that the energy logistics chain runs smoothly and without disruption. Through its Armada Readiness & Deployment strategy, PTK has mobilized hundreds of marine support vessels to ensure the seamless operation of energy ports at key strategic locations across the country. These vessels assist with tanker berthing and unberthing processes, port navigation, and support loading and unloading activities at energy terminals. The presence of PTK’s tugboats, AHTS vessels, and small craft ensures that tankers carrying fuel (BBM), LPG, crude oil, and other energy products can operate efficiently, safely, and on schedule, while maintaining the reliability of the national energy supply chain—an essential backbone for logistics in an archipelagic nation.
In addition to ensuring operational continuity, PTK places safety as a top priority through the implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards in every maritime activity. The HSSE framework includes operational vessel supervision, crew readiness, as well as risk mitigation measures for safety and marine environmental protection throughout the energy distribution process. With the anticipated increase in energy distribution activities during the RAFI period, the strict implementation of these safety standards becomes a critical factor in ensuring that all maritime operations run safely, reliably, and sustainably.
The President Director of PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental, I Ketut Laba, emphasized that the readiness of the marine services fleet reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining reliable national energy distribution. “As an integrated maritime services company, PTK plays a strategic role in ensuring that energy port activities and tanker movements operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Through the deployment of 415 marine service vessels, we aim to ensure that national energy distribution remains secure during Ramadan and Eid, while strengthening PTK’s role as a strategic partner within Pertamina’s energy logistics ecosystem,” he stated.
Through this fleet readiness and integrated operational services, PTK reaffirms its role as an enabler of national energy distribution within the Pertamina Group ecosystem. This maritime service support not only ensures the smooth operation of energy ports and tanker movements, but also safeguards the reliability of the energy supply chain for industry, transportation, and household needs across the country. With a strong commitment to safety, operational reliability, and collaboration within the national energy ecosystem, PTK also helps ensure that people can observe Ramadan and celebrate Eid peacefully, supported by a stable and reliable energy supply throughout the Indonesian archipelago.
