453 PTK Ships Ensure Smooth Transportation of Fuel and LPG During Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) is making various preparations for the 2025 Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force (RAFI) operations. These preparations include the availability of marine services and the operation of a fleet of 453 vessels to support the distribution of energy supplies, namely fuel and LPG, to ensure they are maintained and meet community needs during the 2025 RAFI period.
Some of PTK's preparations related to marine services and supporting vessel providers include: Readiness of supporting fleets such as Harbor Tugs, Small Craft, Anchor Handling Tugs and Supply (AHTS), and other types of vessels for berthing activities at the 104 ports or jetties it manages.
Ensuring vessels meet operational standards while in port, including inspections of vessel equipment. Berthing services, loading/unloading, Oil Spill Response (OSR) readiness, and readiness of Marine Environmental Protection (LLP) equipment.
Agency activities to handle documents and administration for vessels entering and leaving the port, including permits and coordination with port authorities. Support from certified Marine Terminal Safety Inspector (MTSI) personnel for Port Operation and Bunker Control activities.
PTK's Vice President of Legal & Relations, Sonny Mirath, stated that PTK continues to support the need for marine services to strengthen the national energy supply, especially during Ramadan and the lead-up to Eid al-Fitr 2025.
"We always ensure our marine services, fleet, and crew are on standby, prioritizing Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) aspects in providing service and operational excellence. The increased activity of people returning home ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2025 has a significant impact on energy consumption," said Sonny Mirath.
In addition to keeping marine services and fleet on standby, PTK also conducted Management Walkthroughs (MWTs) to several locations during Ramadan 2025 to directly assess the preparations of the 2025 RAFI Task Force. During these MWTs, PTK management also conducted intensive coordination across subholdings to ensure smooth operations.
These MWTs also served to communicate directly with the workers assigned to the RAFI Task Force and ensure the health of everyone involved. This ensures that all personnel and fleet preparations are optimally prepared to support upstream and downstream oil and gas activities within the Pertamina Group and other oil and gas companies.
"We hope that the public can carry out their religious obligations during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr smoothly, and that PTK's operations, as an integrated maritime services company, can support national energy needs during RAFI 2025," concluded Sonny Mirath.
